Kindergarten Program

At the Kindergarten section of Model Private School, with a strength of over 600 students, we provide a joyful, nurturing, and stimulating environment that lays the foundation for lifelong learning. This nurturing, play-centred programme is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and exploration, offering a safe and engaging space where young learners build foundational cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills.

Core Learning Areas in Detail

Language & Literacy

We build early literacy through immersive activities in listening, speaking, and emergent reading and writing. The program emphasizes phonics, vocabulary acquisition, storytelling, and comprehension to build confident communicators and expressive thinkers.

Numeracy & Mathematical Thinking

Through hands-on, manipulative-based experiences, we establish a foundational understanding of numbers, counting, shapes, patterns, and measurement. This approach develops numeracy, logical thinking, and basic problem-solving skills.

Inquiry & Discovery (Environmental Studies)

Children explore their immediate surroundings, nature, and the community. These observation based and inquiry-driven activities promote curiosity about people, places, animals, and plants, forming the foundation for scientific thinking.

Physical Development (Fine & Gross Motor Skills)

We build physical confidence and coordination. Fine motor tasks (drawing, cutting, lacing) and gross motor play (outdoor games, structured movement) are designed to build coordination, balance, strength, and spatial awareness.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED)

This is a cornerstone of our program. We actively support the development of confidence, independence, empathy, and cooperation. Through social routines, guided play, and collaborative learning, children learn to manage their emotions and build positive, respectful relationships.

Creative Arts & Expression

Creative projects, including painting, collage, and 3D craftwork, ignite imagination and nurture aesthetic appreciation. These activities are also essential for reinforcing fine motor control and self-expression.

Cultural & Values-Based Learning

Arabic Language

Children dive into the Arabic language through engaging songs, stories, and interactive activities, learning the alphabet, basic vocabulary, and simple sentence patterns. Following Structured Literacy principles, our program ensures the systematic development of oral language, phonological awareness, and early writing skills.

Islamic & Moral Studies

Islamic Education focuses on cultivating core values of compassion, gratitude, and kindness through age-appropriate stories and modelled behaviour. For non-Muslim learners, Moral Studies emphasizes universal values like respect, honesty, cooperation, and responsible citizenship, taught through role-play and real-life scenarios. These values are embedded across all daily routines and learning experiences.

UAE Social Studies

Children build a strong sense of identity and belonging. They learn about their family, the community, and the UAE, fostering intercultural understanding, respect for diversity, and a deep appreciation for local traditions and values.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) — KG2

In KG2, AI concepts are introduced through engaging, play-based, and story-led activities that build future-ready skills like pattern recognition, sequencing, and simple problem-solving.Aligned with the ADEK AI Curriculum and the Day of AI initiative (www.adek.dayofai.org), the program fosters curiosity about technology, promotes responsible digital citizenship, and develops early critical and creative thinking.
